Luz Canino-Baker is a proven business leader with experiences in the corporate and non-profit sectors. After a successful twenty-eight year banking career, Ms. Canino-Baker took her innovative leadership skills to the non-profit sector in February 2007. Ms. Canino-Baker spent the greater part of her career in banking at First National Bank of Chicago/Bank One; now JPMorgan Chase. There she had a successful 28-year career in Commercial Banking, Corporate Trust, Investment Management, and Commercial Credit Card. Her program development skills allowed her to create training programs that saved the corporation considerable cost. Her reengineering skills enabled her to select vendor large scale systems and create product applications that moved the bank from costly manual processes to efficient and cost saving systems. After participating in a Executive Transformational Coaching program, she was selected to coach and develop ten leaders in the Investment Management Group. She also managed several high performing teams including managing external consultants. Ms. Canino-Baker has learned that she thrives in chaos and welcomes opportunities that allow her to use her strong analytical and organizational abilities.

Ms. Canino-Baker served as the Managing Director of Programs and Marketing for the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement, (HACE), in Chicago. HACE is a national organization that serves a Latino constituency of 35,000 in Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York. Ms. Canino-Baker is responsible for creating the strategy and managing the P & L of $1.6 million. Her team was responsible for planning and executing annual regional career conferences in five cities that served over 4000 constituents. Additionally, she led a team that orchestrated numerous private customized recruitment events with recruiters from many Fortune 500 companies. She developed two leadership programs that are now being institutionalized at HACE and National-Louis University. The first program launched in the fall of 2007 was a Leadership Development Program geared towards strengthening the Latino Employee Resource Groups leaders at twenty five Fortune 500 companies. The most recent program launched was the Mujeres de HACE program, which targeted fifty Latina leaders from various industries including Fortune 500 to improve the Latina's work-life balance skills. This program is now co-owned by National-Louis University and approximately seventy-five professional Latinas have graduated from this program.

Ms. Canino-Baker has a passion for seeing everyone perform at the level that helps each individual achieve their dreams. As a result, she started her own business in 2007, LNC Coaching, LLC. The core services include Executive/Life Coaching, Women's Programs, and Cultural Competency. In 2010, she joined the speaker circuit on the topics of work-life balance, branding yourself, and empowering employee resource groups.

Ms. Canino-Baker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from DePaul University and an MBA from the University of Chicago. She is also an adjunct professor at DePaul University and National-Louis University. She serves on the board of Harper College Educational Foundation, on the advisory boards of Uhlich Children's Advantage Network and WINGS (Women In Need Get Stronger). Her current memberships are: University Of Chicago Business Women, National Society of Hispanic MBAs, National Hispanic Sales Network and the League United Latin American Citizens (LULAC).

Ms. Canino-Baker was selected by Chicago United as one of Chicago's Business Leaders of Color. Most recently she was by recognized as one of Top 100 Under 50 by Diversity MBA Magazine. She is a graduate of the Boardroom Bound® Boardology™ Institute and profiled in the group's National Director-Candidate Database.
